Seno valodu profesors Pauls Žibeiks un viņa metode (1987.-1992.)
2010
Professor Pauls Žibeiks usually is mentioned as professor of Old Testament. In my memories P. Žibeiks takes place of the professor of ancient languages, which he taught in the theological seminary. During the period of time 1987-1992 I was in close touch with the professor, first being his student in his classes of ancient languages in the seminary rooms in Jāņa street, and after, visiting him in Bauska with certain regularity. Here, professor's Pauls Žibeiks teaching method is briefly considered in context of language teaching methods in the Rīga Domskola, the Theological faculty of University of Latvia and the Lutheran theological seminary.
La normatividad nomólogica de Paulson
2017
In some of his recent work Stanley Paulson puts forward a number of important and ambitious exegetical claims about Hans Kelsen’s Pure Theory of Law. Some of these claims are not novel in Paulson’s rich Kelsenian corpus. But, taken together, these claims now amount to the main outlines of a fully-fledged interpretation of the theoretical foundations of the Pure Theory of Law. Paulson holds that (1) contrary to what Joseph Raz, Carlos S. Nino and many others have claimed, there is, in the Pure Theory of Law, no “justified normativity” thesis. Kelsenian normativity is, rather, “nomological” normativity. (2) ‘Validity’ is not, in the Pure Theory of Law, a matter of the reasons norm-subjects ma…
Root hydraulic conductivity in three self-rooted and grafted table grape cultivars
2012

Aim: Root hydraulic conductivity is one of the main factors that control water flow in the soil-plant system and ultimately affect crop irrigation requirements. This work sets out to estimate root water conductivity for three self-rooted or grafted table grape cultivars.

Methods and results: We evaluated root water conductivity of the cultivars ‘Black Magic’, ‘Matilde’ and ‘Victoria’ grafted onto 1103 Paulsen rootstock or self-rooted. Measurements were performed on two-year-old table grapes grown in pots filled with pumice. Root water conductivity wa…
Soil – plant system: a case study of Vitis berlandieri x Vitis rupestris rootstock varieties
2013
Lanthanides are part of rare earth elements. Nowadays studies focused on these elements are increasing to assess the possibility to their use in the traceability to effectively determining the geographical wine origin. In the traceability project we start studying the soil plant system. The aim of the research was to verify if different varieties of rootstock on identical soil have similar lanthanides uptake behavior and if the same rootstock could reproduce different lanthanides distribution for different soil typologies. Three different varieties of rootstock V. berlandieri X V. rupestris (1103 Paulsen, 779 Paulsen and 140 Ruggeri), planted on different soils (carbonatic, clayey and volca…
